Speaking Gadgets for the Visually Impaired - Simplifying Life
The technology has not lived up to produce gadgets for people with disabilities visual world. There many gadgets that are making life easier and the world more welcoming for visually impaired. From having to tell the time the day, talking wristwatches and clocks give the Braille watches a back seat. watches are much more convenient for the visually impaired because they may indicate the time at the push of a button and do not need to spend large operator training.
In the same league are talking calculators and banknote readers. These two gadgets really prevent the blind from being cheated by some unscrupulous people. The administration has done its part in the fire. More places in the world are installing talking crosswalk signals. A simple touch of a button on the signal post to announce the person to stop or walk.
Then there is the ultimate gadget talk: the cookware to speak for the visually impaired. This is a list of talking gadgets like microwave ovens talk about measuring cups, cookbooks on band and a host of other kitchen gadgets to talk like a container that makes a noise when the liquid is boiling a cup or triggers an alarm when it is almost full. Talking gadgets are not really say that gadgets speak English or something. The gadget comes with a sound alerts the person with a disability visual an imminent event.
