All is fair they say in the game of love and war so if you want your Ex back you have probably tried a great number of tactics as part of your battle plan. Chances are some of your tactics might have been downright childish and you may have gone as far to cry and plead your way back into his life or vowed to change anything about yourself you think he may not have liked. None of these emotional outbursts have worked and now you have lost your Ex but want him back.
Resorting to any of those juveniles schemes may have your Ex slightly reluctant to even give you a chance. Resolve to stop being manipulative and start behaving like a mature, emotionally secure person. Those previous mentioned behavior patterns did not work in your attempt to win your Ex back, thus you realize you need to correct what you were obviously doing wrong.
One of the very worst things you can do is to start displaying stalking characteristics, such as following him around or just showing up places you know he frequents. Chances are you will run into him from time to time as part of your connected social life so don't hesitate to acknowledge his presence with a friendly "hello". You may even try the tactic of excusing yourself from the vicinity as you don't want him to feel uncomfortable with you around. State your reason simply and honestly but don't cause a scene. Your calm behavior will puzzle and intrigue him.
Many conversations now take place between couples via internet or text messaging, however now is not the time to rely on these machines as part of an ongoing dialogue as you may be tempted to share feelings you would not necessarily share in person and often reading words conveys different meaning then intended.
Doing the unexpected will have better results than doing what you may have usually done if your past patterns were to behave emotional and dramatic. Whatever was not working in the past desist from doing.
If you sense an interest on his part there is nothing wrong with eventually phoning him to express a friendly hello and to let him know that he is on your mind. Keep the conversation simple as the telephone is not the place to share your innermost feelings of wanting your Ex back. Be sure to set his mind at ease if he questions your motives for calling, assuring him it is just a friendly chat.
The more you show him this different side of your personality the more he will start to rethink the relationship. Taking a moment to drop a note or card in the mail is another idea if you are uncertain as to how he would perceive a call from you. After a few subtle nudges from you set back and let him take the next step.

There & Back $14.38 Naming a label Old School Metal Records leaves very little to the imagination, but at least there are no surprises when its inaugural release turns out to be a collection of long-lost material by San Francisco's Ruffians -- a band so obscure they never even made it as far as getting signed during their original mid-'80s existence. And listening back to their original, eponymous six-song mini-LP of 1985 (which opens this set), it's immediately and abundantly evident why they got lost in the shuffle. Not only were tracks like "Fight for Your Life" and "Wasteland" inordinately conventional in their predictable hard rock arrangements, but much like beleaguered local heroes Y&T, they suffered from what can only be described as exceedingly clean production standards, rendering them professional but lifeless. Vocalist Carl Albert's elastic range and piercing screams do lend a certain semblance of (very) early Queensrÿche to more spirited numbers like "Run for Cover" and the quasi-thrashing "Eyes of Fire"; but "You're All I Need" is a hopelessly undercooked attempt at pompous power balladry (Y&T's "I Believe in You" was "Stairway to Heaven" by comparison!), while "Bad Boys Cut Loose" simply suffers from the sort of knuckleheaded chorus that only glam metal outfits from down the coast in L.A. could hope to pull off. Some of these songs are reprised with superior results -- amid a few more decent originals like "I've Got to Know," "Desert of Tears," and their namesake track -- in the ensuing live recordings, proving that stifling production may indeed have been the root of Ruffians' downfall. But as the original 1984 demos that close disc one, and the additional, assorted live samplings (mostly from 1987, but also including a video performance from their one-off 2004 reunion at a German festival) covering disc two confirm, Ruffians was a competent but workmanlike outfit that was never really worthy of greatness anyway.
