Metal Gear Solid was released in 1998 and is well known by many as the best Metal Gear game. Instead of playing a game with two flat dimensions, game was Konami's first foray to make a Metal Gear game that was in 3D. Like previous iterations of the series, Metal Gear Solid is a game of tactical espionage action with emphasis on stealth. The game takes place in 2005, and Foxhound is now a terrorist organization which has no affiliation with Roy Campbell and Solid Snake. Foxhound intentions are to launch a nuclear strike if their demands are not met. Their headquarters office in a remote island called Shadow Moses (somewhere in Alaska). Roy and Dr. Naomi Hunter (colleague Roy Campbell) begs Snake to help eradicate the terrorist threat.
Snake goes to Alaska and began his mission, his first objective is to find the head of DARPA (Donald Anderson) and weapons President Tech (Kenneth Baker). Our hero tracks down Donald M. Anderson and Snake learns that another Metal Gear is under construction. Donald also tells Snake on a way to disable Metal Gear passing through PAL codes, then the chief died of a heart attack. Snake takes its objective and met Kenneth Baker (who is taken hostage by Revolver Ocelot). Revolver has placed son linked to explosives that are set to detonate. Snake manages to save Baker and seriously injure Ocelot Ocelot, but no reason to kill a ninja esoteric. The ninja slices Ocelots hand, cutting the son who are attached to explosives and fled. Too many wounded in battle, Ocelot offs also works well. After that, Snake has a brief conversation with Kenneth who also dies of a heart attack (strangely similar to the death of Donald).
On his way to find Otacon, Snake meets Vulcan Raven in a tank; Snake destroys the tank and headed for Shadow Moses nuclear waste storage area. As Snake reaches Otacon, he sees the ninja again. The Ninja disclose it to Snake Gray Fox (a former comrade of Snake Foxhound). They have a melee, and the Ninja (Gray Fox) runs away again. Snake discovers Otacon (Metal Gear creator) and asks for help in destroying Metal Gear. Realizing Metal Gear will be used as a weapon is a threat, Otacon agrees to aid Snake. Meryl (the daughter of Roy Campbell) finds Snake, and she teamed with Snake. Unfortunately, they are sniped by Sniper Wolf. Meryl gets hurt, but the figures how to beat Snake Sniper Wolf at his own game and do. Snake is then captured by soldiers and Sniper Wolf (who are not dead), Ocelot is back on the photo and the torments Snake by electrocution. Fortunately, Snake escapes and finds his train.
Junk, Snake is attacked by the leader of Foxhound (Liquid Snake) in a helicopter. But Snake shoots the helicopter repeatedly with Stinger missile launcher to destroy it. The snake is going to fight against Sniper Wolf and Vulcan Raven again, and Snake exterminate both for good. Knowing that Raven's death was inevitable, Raven reveals to Snake that the DARPA chief was actually Decoy Octopus in disguise. Subsequently, Naomi and Snake have a conversation via the codec in which she tells Snake that she has injected a virus known as Foxdie. This revelation explains why Octopus and Kenneth Baker died when they were in contact with Snake. Naomi admits she did because she is the beautiful sister of Gray Fox and wants revenge for the actions of Snake. The remorse, she apologizes to Snake and acknowledges that it does not want to kill Snake. Recognizing that he must complete his mission, Snake arrives Finally the suspension is maintained when Metal Gear.
He tries to defuse Metal Gear, however, he unwittingly activate. To the chagrin of Snake Liquid happens again. Liquid Snake informs him that he was used to activate Metal Gear and Snake told they were twins who were part of "Les Enfants Terribles" project, also said how liquid it was a project to clone another Big Boss. Snake learns that higher is the dominant twin, and Liquid is the twin lower recessive. When their prolonged conversation draws to a close, hitting the liquid in the cockpit of Metal Gear and tries to kill Snake. Since Snake does not know how to stop Metal Gear Otacon via codec allows. While the long and difficult struggle continues, Gray Fox appears and supports Snake in Metal Gear demolished. Unfortunately, Gray Fox is killed in the process.
Before dying, Gray Fox was a touching moment and communicate with Snake Snake in the ninja costume gave him a split personality. Liquid somehow survives the fiasco of Metal Gear Snake and the other challenges struggle in which Snake is triumphant. Later, Snake sees Meryl and thus escape liquid (yes, he is still alive) in an action sequence Car Chase climate. Their vehicle collision, and Liquid dies from the virus Foxdie hand. Knowing that he could die at any moment, Snake and Meryl get on a snowmobile to depart Alaska. After the credits scroll across the screen, it is revealed that Revolver Ocelot is still alive and plans on giving to the Metal Data Gear Solid (Kenneth Baker) to a man named Solidus.
