Have you ever thought of putting a little electronic gadget in your site? Most people are not because they know it is hard to find an outlet on the campgrounds.
There is a way you can generate electricity while camping. You can do this with C It Yourself (DIY) portable solar panels.
A solar panel is mainly composed of multiple photovoltaic (PV) cells welded in series. PV cells tends to generate an electric current when exposed to direct sunlight.
To take advantage of the current you'll need an official controller. The charge controller has the power to the solar panel and use it to recharge a battery deep discharge.
The number of units required will depend on your battery's energy needs on the campsite. For a small family April-June battery units will be more than enough.
Since a battery has stored direct current (DC), you'll need a component known as an inverter power to change the DC alternating current (AC). Like most electrical appliances run on alternating current, you can now use it with electricity UPS.
A DIY solar system is quite portable because of its relatively small size. The largest component is the solar panel. If you can find a way to make the foldable solar panel in one unit, the panels can be easily stored in the back of a van.
When the camp site, all you need do is set the solar panel, making sure it faces the sun and connect all components. After a couple of hours, you can have free electricity you can use to power your electrical appliances.
