If you are like me, you enjoy reading in bed - especially during those few minutes when the day is over and you actually get some peace and quiet. But it can be kind of frustrating when you don't have proper lighting and you have to twist and turn and hold the book in odd positions just to get enough light. Well, I finally got tired of it all and bought myself a headboard lamp.
A headboard lamp is a perfect addition to any bedroom. There are so many different types of headboard lamps that you will certainly find something that will work for you. Here are some of the most popular ones that I found when I was doing my shopping online.
The headboard lamp from the Vermont Country Store is really nice. It slips over your headboard so you don't have to install one onto your wall. It doesn't damage your headboard and can easily be moved since it is not mounted. It has a beige lamp shade and would fit so many decors from rustic to modern.
The Vermont Country Store also has another headboard lamp that has a dimmer on it so that you can easily adjust the lighting level. When reading, you don't want your light too bright or too dim, and this lamp eliminates both of those concerns. This light clamps onto you headboard so it doesn't have to be mounted either. It is a basic light that runs about $30, but it is really well worth it.
Another type of lamp that is great for reading is the gooseneck lamps that plug into the wall. This works well if you have a wall plug near your headboard. You just plug this light in and adjust its flexible 23" neck to just about any position. It has a 6' electrical cord that allows you to plug it in even if you need an extension cord.
The great thing about shopping for a headboard lamp is that there are absolutely fantastic deals online. You don't have to shop far to see that you will get better deals online than you will find in any tradition store.
