I worked in executive protection for clients and individuals and have met many so called bodyguards during my experiment. It is important stressed that a bodyguard not the same as professional protection. This is not only the difference in training, it is in the attitude.
In this case, I protect a client in Sydney during a period when they were operating at a higher level risk and had been threatened by people with motives and resources necessary to carry out their threats.

Soon the conversation turns to what weapon you prefer and what you wear. Most of my protection detail were armed because of my background, but I have been trained to understand a basic fact. Your rifle is only a tool and you select the ideal tool for the right job regardless of the one you prefer. No protection officer senior management is required to be armed will never work on a weapon that is not good for employment.
I was using a pancake holster on the belt and have used it more often than others. He proudly showed me his gun and holster. We were guests in the hallway waiting for me to present the direction I thought about this bodyguard. I was getting a strange feeling that I would not like what I found.
The shoulder holster was a gunslinger in a Western-style leather holster style with a white elastic waist harness. I asked the elastic White and he told me he had built himself the harness waistband sweatpants elastic material to better fit the harness Leather was uncomfortable to wear.

I went to the end of the room and called my boss to explain the situation. As I explained that I did not want this guy working with me because of the potential risks bodyguard heard me complain about the case change.
He decided to prove me wrong on the case and actually drew his revolver in rapid action to me by standing in the lobby of the client.
Lost battle
I still see it all in slow motion as another bodyguard entered in a drawing fast his revolver shoulder holster. The case went all of his body because of the elastic band and stretched nearly two feet of his body before separating.
The elastic was broken at a time and threw the holster and on his shoulder about 10 feet down the hall. I standing with the phone to my boss in my hand.
Without a shot
I kept telling my boss that he will return with him now because he just tried to shoot his gun directly at me and he ended up being thrown on the floor in the room customers.
The boss decided to return home.
Caution body right
There are many security guards who tell people they have bodyguard jobs for different people. Often, they refer to employment is that they may have been involved in working with a musician or a local artist, primarily in the role of crowd controller, so they have attended some meetings of clubs or dedications.
It is not bodyguards Executive protection.Professional prepare plans for road, fore, and other details other bodyguards were not even aware. A professional bodyguard attempts to end their shifts without a single incident, including avoiding any incident bad reputation.
