There's no question that we've come a long way with the clones. Probably just a year and a half ago, it was very common for people to tell me that they were very intrigued by one of these replicas but they had reservations about obtaining support and accessories for it. For the most part, I don't get nearly as many of these reservations anymore. Most people realize that these phones have become quite mainstream and common place. In fact, no matter which country you're in, you're likely to be able to get inexpensive accessories and support in your own country without needing to order or ship overseas.
The CECT i9+++ is one of the newer, popular clones and the easy availability of it's accessories and extras are no exception. Additionally, because there's no specific large brand to support and promote, the costs for accessories are pretty much as discounted as the phones. In the following article, I'm going to give an overview of some of the more popular i9+++ extras along with an estimate of the costs.
Set Up Instructions, Manuals, And Directions For Internet, MMS, SMS, and Java Set Up: These phones are reasonably intuitive. And many times, the seller will ask which carrier you are using and will set it up for you. However, this doesn't always happen and sometimes people decide to go with one of the cheaper prepaid sim cards, so the GSM carrier settings will change you will need to make some adjustments. Instructions for these scenarios are pretty easy to find and they generally run about $5.
All Inclusive GSM Sim Cards That Include Talk, Text, And Web For The i9+++: Getting back to sim cards, it's pretty common to be able to buy pre paid sim cards that don't require any contract or commitment but which cheaply provide for unlimited talk, text, and data. You'll generally need to renew these on a monthly basis, but you'll generally pay much less over all. The cost of these cards averages around $30 and up. And this ability to shop around is what makes the clones so appealing in terms of repeated monetary savings.
Skins, Cases, Covers, And Pouches: It used to be that you were stuck with the black leather flip cases with these clones. But today, there are so many possibilities. They now have hard cases that you can even customize to look exactly how you want. There are the silicone skins that are not only bright and colorful but also make the phone easier to hold. You can also sometimes find new housing if you want to change the color of your phone from something other than black. These covers are usually under $10.
Batteries: These are very easy to come by and will only run you a couple of bucks. I usually recommend getting a few so that you're only having to pay shipping once if you've buying online.
Additional Memory: One very cool thing about the CECT i9+++ is that it can accommodate more memory. Some of the newer models can hold up to 32GB. Some phones will come will all of the memory, but sometimes this won't be the case and it can really be worth it to get all of the memory that your phone can accommodate. These are generally around $20 so it's always optimal to have them come with the phone.
Screen Protectors: Since this is a touch screen phone, the screen gets a lot of use and it's a good idea to protect it. The plastic, clear, thin covers that fit perfectly over this phone usually run less than $2 for a whole batch. You can take them off and put them back on very easily.
Data / Transfer Cables: You can transfer information, files, photos, music, video, etc from the i9+++ to your computer in a number of ways including Bluetooth and the SD card. But, another easy way to accomplish this information is with a data cable. Plus, these can usually also charge the phone from your computer. These are typically under $5.
Home And Car Chargers: Speaking of chargers, you can usually buy a bundle that will give you both a home and car charger (and sometimes a cover or skin too) if this was not provided with your purchase. These are very inexpensive also, typically under $10.
Replacement Stylus: Even though the stylus fits right into the phone, these can get lost. In a pinch, you can use a pencil or pen without any ink. But it's nice to use the phone as it was deigned and you can usually get a replacement for under a couple of dollars.
